Abstract. Several authors have treated fractional kinetic equations and obtained their solutions, using different methods.
Recently Saxena and Kalla have obtained solution of fractional kinetic
equation, using Laplace transform. In this paper a correct version of their
solution and examples are given. Further, a more general form of fractional
kinetic equation and its solution are introduced, and an alternative method
to obtain solution of such equations is provided. The results presented are
in compact form and convenient for numerical computation. Furthermore some
special cases and examples are obtained, and various figures to illustrate
the behavior of the solution are given.
